1. The government of the Republic of Korea (ROK) appointed former Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark Choi Jai-chul as Ambassador for Cooperation with the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) on October 17. Ambassador Choi is recognized for extensive experiences and high expertise in the field of exhibitions, as can be seen from his service as President of the BIE Executive Committee for three consecutive terms from 2013 to 2019.

2. As a government delegate, Ambassador Choi will attend the BIE meetings and provide advice to Busan on its bid to host the World Expo 2030, among others.
