ROK-China Director-General-Level Meeting on Delimitation of Maritime Boundaries to Take Place

1. A Republic of Korea-China director-general-level meeting on the delimitation of the maritime boundaries will take place in Gyeongju, southeast of Seoul, on July 5 and 6.

 

The ROK and Chinese head delegates to the meeting will be Director-General for International Legal Affairs Bae Jong-in and Ambassador for Yellow Sea Affairs Wang Xiaodu of the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, respectively.

 

The ROK delegation will be composed of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant government agencies, including the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Coast Guard, and the Korea Institute of Ocean Science and Technology

 

2. At the upcoming director-general-level meeting, the fourth of its kind following the third held in Beijing in August 2017, the two sides will discuss in depth the full range of matters pertaining to the delimitation of the maritime boundaries between the two countries.
