1. In a bid to draw keener attention from young Koreans to APEC’s major agenda items and policies and to present to APEC their ideas regarding ways for the international community to achieve co-prosperity, the Foreign Ministry will recruit and dispatch three young Korean delegates to APEC Voices of the Future 2017, which will take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, from November 5 till 10 this year.

※ APEC Voices of the Future is a program in which young delegates from APEC’s member economies engage in debates on issues in the region; attend APEC CEO Summits as observers; and hold dialogue with members of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), and other exchange events with business leaders.

2. The young Korean delegates will be selected after reviews of their activity plans and interviews. Any under-graduate and graduate students of Korean nationality, regardless of whether they are currently in school or on a leave of absence, are eligible to apply.

※ Applicants’ plans should include ideas regarding projects that APEC’s member economies can conduct together at the initiative of the ROK and under APEC’s theme for the year 2017, “Creating New Dynamism, Fostering a Shared Future.”

3. The selected young Koreans will be offered an opportunity to represent the Republic of Korea at “APEC Voices of the Future 2017.”

4. The Foreign Ministry expects that many young Koreans with dreams and passion will take a keen interest in the program and apply to take part in it.
