1. At aT Center on May 25 and 26, the Foreign Ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, held the first meeting of overseas employment attaches stationed at its overseas diplomatic missions.

2. The aforementioned meeting, the first of its kind, served as an opportunity for overseas employment attaches to share with one another information on employment at their host countries and discuss ways to support bids of people of the Republic of Korea to seek employment overseas, including setting up a trilateral cooperative system among the Foreign Ministry headquarters, the overseas diplomatic missions and other relevant government agencies.

3. Going forward, the Foreign Ministry, by building on the outcome of the meeting, will step up cooperation with its overseas missions and other relevant government agencies and organizations, provide the ROK people with information on good-quality jobs overseas, and help them resolve challenges in seeking employment overseas, thereby playing a role in creating an environment conducive to their employment overseas.
