1. Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Lee Tae-ho will visit Greece and Belarus for the second meeting of the Republic of Korea-Greece joint economic committee on May 23 and the fourth meeting of the ROK-Belarus joint committee on economy, science and technology on May 25.

2. At the first meeting of the ROK-Greece joint economic committee in five years since the one held in 2011, the two countries will seek ways to boost trade and investment between them based on their alliance forged by Greece’s participation in the Korean War on the ROK side. They will also discuss ways to work together in various fields, including shipbuilding, maritime transport, energy, environment, transportation, construction, infrastructure, tourism and air services.

3. At the first meeting of the ROK-Belarus joint committee on economy, science and technology in four years since the one held in 2012, the two countries will discuss ways to work more closely together in such sectors as trade, investment, science, technology, and information and communications technology (ICT). They will also seek ways to broaden the scope of their cooperation to include more diverse areas, such as pharmaceuticals and energy.
