1. The US government, in a note verbale dated June 3 and delivered via the US Embassy in the Republic of Korea, notified the ROK government of the re-extension of the ROK’s status as a participant country in the US Visa Waiver Program (VWP) until March 2017. Accordingly, nationals of the ROK will continue to be eligible for visa-free visits to the US.

2. The ROK government will continue making efforts to help its nationals travel to the US conveniently. Among such efforts will be holding close interagency consultations, improving the efficiency of management of immigration affairs and enhancing passport security.
