ROK and Oman Sign their Visa Exemption Agreement

1. First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Tae-yong, together with Omani Ambassador Mohamed Alharthy to the Republic of Korea, signed the ROK-Oman Agreement on the Mutual Waiver of Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic, Official, Special and Service Passports at the Omani Embassy in Seoul on December 24.

2. Pursuant to the agreement, the nationals of the two countries with valid diplomatic, official, special and service passports can stay in each other’s territories without visa for up to 90 days.

* The agreement will take effect 30 days after the receipt by the two countries of each other’s written notice on their completion of necessary domestic procedures for its entry into effect.

3. The agreement, when brought into effect, is expected to help further promote mutual visits and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
