Things that ROK Travelers to Kazakhstan Should Bear in Mind following the Effectuation of the Agreement between the ROK and Kazakhstan on the Mutual Abolition of Visa Requirements

1. With the effectuation of the Agreement between the ROK and Kazakhstan on the Mutual Abolition of Visa Requirements on November 29, 2014, nationals of the ROK holding valid ordinary passports or travel certificates, and having no intention of engaging in labor or missionary work, studying in educational institutions or residing in the territory of Kazakhstan, are now allowed to enter the territory of Kazakhstan without visas and stay for a period not exceeding 30 days.

2. With the Agreement’s effectuation, here are things that ROK travelers to Kazakhstan should bear in mind.

o The period of each stay shall not exceed 30 days regardless of the number of visits, and the total period of stay shall not exceed 60 days within each period of 180 days. Those who want to stay for more than 60 days are required to obtain visas.

3. The effectuation of the Agreement will improve convenience for nationals of the ROK who wish to visit or do business in Kazakhstan. It is also expected to contribute significantly to expanding people-to-people exchanges and strengthening substantive cooperation between the two countries.
