1. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Belgium Kim Chang-beom and Secretary-General of the Belgian Foreign Ministry Dirk Achten signed the “ROK-Belgium Agreement Concerning a Working Holiday Program” at the Belgian Foreign Ministry building on April 14.
2. Belgium is the 20th country the ROK has concluded such agreement with. Under the ROK-Belgium agreement, an annual 200 youngsters aged 18-30 of each country will be able to stay in the other country for up to one year traveling and working.
3. The ROK-Belgium agreement is expected to offer more opportunities to youths of the two countries to experience each other’s cultures and lifestyles. It is also expected to serve as a valuable opportunity to further enhance friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
4. This year, the ROK Foreign Ministry has concluded three agreements on the Working Holiday Program. It will continue efforts to conclude such agreements with more countries in order to help Korean youth study and work abroad.
