1. As part of its effort to strengthen the two-way communication with the public, the Foreign Ministry will launch “Live MOFAT,” a social broadcasting network that uses social network services (SNSs).

° A social studio has been set up in the Ministry building to broadcast most of “Live MOFAT” programs live. Its first broadcast will take place at 17:00 on September 17.

° Programs to be aired on “Live MOFAT” will deal with issues related with foreign affairs and trade, practical information, including that for overseas travel and on foreign cultures, and episodes of diplomats.

° “Live MOFAT” shows will be conducted in various formats, including talks shows, social briefings and forums, in which the public can take part real time through SNSs.

2. In the inaugural broadcast, a college student, who took part in the “diplomatic mission tour” program in June, will share his vivid diplomatic experience.

° A Yonsei University student, who visited diplomatic missions in the UK, France, Germany and Belgium -- the birthplace of diplomacy -- in the aforementioned program, will share his impression and experience.

3. The inaugural “Live MOFAT” broadcast will be available for viewing real-time at MOFAT’s official website (www.mofat.go.kr), its facebook page (www.facebook.com/mofatkr) and the real-time interactive broadcast platform (www.ustream.tv).
