1. Considering the worsening security situation in Syria amid anti-government protests, the Foreign 
Ministry has raised the Travel-alert Level for the entire country from Level 1 (Precautious) to Level 2 
(Highly Cautious) as of March 24.

2. The Korean nationals staying in Syria are asked to pay more heed to their own safety, and those 
who plan to visit the country are advised to reconsider their need to travel.
