1. The Government of the Republic of Korea plans to send medical supplies worth over 100,000 dollars to
Lebanon to take part in the international community's efforts in providing humanitarian assistance to the
Lebanese people.
2. Upon the Lebanese government's request and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and
the Korea International Foundation for Health and Development, our government decided to follow up the
donation of 500,000 dollars in cash for Lebanon on July 25, by sending medical supplies to help the
Lebanese people.
3. As the operation of civil aviation was partly resumed at the Beirut airport on August 17, these medical
supplies are scheduled to depart the Incheon airport on August 24 on a civil airline and arrive at the Beirut
airport on August 30.
4. The Government of Lebanon has expressed its gratitude for the deep interest in and humanitarian
assistance for the crisis in Lebanon by the Government and the people of Korea.
