1. The government of the Republic of Korea has decided to provide US$1 million in humanitarian aid to support the relief efforts in response to the ongoing floods in Kenya.
※ According to the Kenyan government, as of May 6, the floods left 229 people dead, 174 injured, 74 missing and approximately 234,685 displaced.
2. The ROK government hopes that its humanitarian aid to Kenya would support the recovery of the affected areas and help residents in those areas swiftly return to their daily lives.
