The government of the Republic of Korea expresses its deep concern over the recent approval by Israel of plans for the construction of 3,426 new settlement housing units in the West Bank.

As the expansion of settlements undermines not only the viability of a two-state solution but also the international community’s efforts to reduce tensions in the region ahead of Ramadan, the government of the Republic of Korea calls on the Israeli government to reverse its decision.
