1. The National Assembly election held in Venezuela on December 6, 2020, is not considered to have met the principles for democratic elections under the Constitution of Venezuela.

2. The government of the Republic of Korea hopes that democracy will be restored in Venezuela as soon as possible through free and fair elections reflecting the will of the Venezuelan people.

3. The Korean government also intends to continue taking part in the concerted efforts of the international community to resolve the humanitarian crisis facing the Venezuelan people.
