Second United Nations High-Level Conference on South-South Cooperation

1. The Second United Nations High Level Conference on South-South Cooperation   was held from March 20 to 22 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Conference was   held against the backdrop of commemorating the 40th anniversary of the adoption of the Buenos Aires Plan of Action for Promoting and Implementing Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries. 

2. The UN member states, as well as various international and regional organizations, attended the Conference to discuss the role of South-South  cooperation and its challenges for the attainment of the 2030 Agenda adopted in 2015.

3. At the plenary meeting of the Conference, Mr. Lim Ki-mo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Argentina, delivered the statement  as the head of the Korean delegation.
