On Tuesday, July 21, Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs Park Jonghan met with Jason Evans, U.S. Under Secretary of State for Management, who is currently visiting Korea, to discuss various areas of bilateral cooperation.
Deputy Minister Park emphasized that active people-to-people exchanges between the two countries serve as a key driving force in deepening mutual understanding between the two peoples and underpinning the future-oriented alliance.
In addition, regarding U.S. immigration policies, Deputy Minister Park requested the U.S. side’s continued attention and support to ensure that Korean nationals do not experience unnecessary difficulties or disadvantages.
The government plans to continue strengthening cooperation in a wide range of areas, including people-to-people exchanges, through various bilateral channels, thereby expanding the horizons of ROK-U.S. relations.
