The government of the Republic of Korea expresses its deep concern over the recent casualties among peacekeepers serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), including the death of a Serbian peacekeeper, and condemns all actions that threaten the safety of UNIFIL.

The government of the Republic of Korea calls to attention that attacks against UNIFIL are a violation of international humanitarian law and of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, and urges that international obligations be upheld under any circumstances.
