The government of the Republic of Korea expresses its deep concern over the casualties sustained by French peacekeepers serving in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) as a result of an attack on April 18, and condemns all actions that threaten the safety of UNIFIL.

The government of the Republic of Korea calls to attention that attacks against UNIFIL are a violation of international humanitarian law and of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, and urges that international obligations be upheld under any circumstances.
