1. The Korean government has decided to provide US$2 million in humanitarian assistance for the people of Libya who were severely affected by flood that hit Libya's northeastern city of Derna and surrounding areas on September 17.
2. The humanitarian assistance will be delivered through the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
3. The Korean government hopes that this assistance will help support those who have suffered damage from the disaster and recover the affected areas.
