1. The government of the Republic of Korea expresses deep concern over the terrorist attack that occurred in the northern Sinai Peninsula on May 7 (local time) and extends its deepest condolences and sympathy to the victims and their bereaved families as well as the people and the government of Egypt.

2. Reaffirming its firm position that terrorism cannot be justified under any circumstances, the government of the Republic of Korea has been and remains committed to taking an active part in the efforts of the international community, including the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO), with a view to establishing peace and stability in the region.
