1. The Government of the Republic of Korea prays for the repose of Dr. Park Byeong-seon who passed 
away in France on November 23 and offers its deepest condolences and consolation to her bereaved 
family.

2. The late Dr. Park had found the Oegyujanggak Uigwe and Jikji Simche Yojeol overseas and contributed 
greatly to promoting time-honored cultural heritage of the ROK across the world. This year, in particular, 
she played a highly significant role in the homecoming of the Oegyujanggak Uigwe in 145 years.

3. The Government of the Republic of Korea will extend all necessary support for the late Dr. Park’s funeral 
process.
