1. The governments of Korea and Saudi Arabia agreed to mutually recognize each other’s driver’s
license for non-commercial purposes.
2. This mutual recognition is expected to significantly improve the convenience of Koreans staying in
or visiting Saudi Arabia.
3. The Korean government has been making consistent effort for the recognition of Korea’s driving
licenses in foreign countries to increase convenience for overseas Koreans. Up to date, a total of 128
countries have begun recognizing Korea’s driving licenses either by signing an arrangement or agreeing
to mutual recognition.
4. The Korean government is keeping up its effort for the recognition of its driver’s licenses in countries
where an increasing number of Koreans visit or live.
