1.  The Government of the Republic of Korea strongly condemns the suicide bombing and the attempted 
missile attack on an Israeli passenger jet in the Kenyan city of Mombasa on November 28, 2002 which took 
innocent lives and wounded many others. The Korean Government expresses its deepest condolences to 
the victims and the bereaved families.

 
2.  Even though the perpetrators of these murderous attacks have not yet been identified, those who are 
responsible for the attacks should be aware that nothing justifies the deliberate targeting of civilians.

 
3.  Concerned that these terrorist attacks might be a sign of increasing worldwide activities by terrorist 
groups, the Korean Government would like to emphasize the importance of concerted efforts by the 
international community in its fight against terrorism, and reaffirms Korea's determination to fully cooperate 
with international community in this respect.
