1. The government of the Republic of Korea expresses its deep concern over the Israeli government’s recent plan to expand the settlement housing units in the West Bank and the amendment of the settlement approval procedures which could expedite the settlement expansion, undermining the efforts to establish permanent peace between Israel and Palestine based on a two-state solution.

2. Moreover, the Republic of Korea is seriously concerned at the numerous casualties caused by the recent terrorist attacks and the escalation of violence in Israel and the West Bank, and calls upon all sides to refrain from any actions that could escalate tension.
