Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Vancouver

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Vancouver has jurisdiction over Western Canada, which includes British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territories.

Western Canada possesses world-class mineral and forest resources such as natural gas, oil, and coal. The region plays a pivotal role in Canada’s cooperation with the Asia-Pacific region, and thus, cooperation with Korea is expected to expand in the future. In addition, Western Canada is home to over hundred thousand Korean Canadians and Korean residents and about 100,000 Korean tourists visit each year.

The Consulate will continue to promote the rights and interests of Korean Canadians and to ensure the safety of Koreans. Furthermore, we will actively strengthen the relationship between Korea and Western Canada in all areas – trade, culture, academics, sports, and more. Finally, the Consulate General will contribute to the development of Korean communities and support the activities of Korean companies.
