Deputy Consul General Jang Young-Jae attended the inauguration ceremony of the new executive leadership of the Korean Cultural Heritage Society, which was held on Saturday, January 24, at Riverway Golf Club in Burnaby.
The event was attended by current and former executive members of the Korean Cultural Heritage Society, representatives of major Korean community organizations, Senator Yonah Martin (via video message), Burnaby Mayor Mike Hurley, BC MLA Paul Choi, and BC Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport Anne Kang, all of whom extended their congratulations.
In his congratulatory remarks, Deputy Consul General Jang expressed his appreciation to the Korean Cultural Heritage Society, other Korean community organizations, the City of Burnaby, and related partners for their continued contributions to promoting cultural activities within the Korean community and enhancing cultural exchange between Korea and Canada. He also conveyed his best wishes for the continued growth and success of the Korean Cultural Heritage Society under its new leadership.
