Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Vancouver

Consul General Jongho Kyun paid a courtesy call to BC Premier David Eby on 2023.02.16.

At this meeting, Consul General Kyun expressed gratitude to Premier Eby for his January letter celebrating the 60th anniversary of Korea-Canada diplomatic ties this year. They discussed promoting substantial cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, energy, education, the film industry and the gaming industry. Consul General Kyun also asked for the BC Government's attention and cooperation regarding the safety of Korean residents and international students in BC.

Premier Eby welcomed Consul General Kyun's appointment and requested that he play an important role in further strenghtening relations between Korea and BC during his tenure. He concluded the meeting by saying that he enjoyed the exchange of ideas and opinions.
