Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Yemen

On 10 August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ambassador DO Bong-kae met with H.E. Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) to brief him on the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, including the joint seminar between the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Korea and Yemen in 2025. H.E. President praised Korea’s active role for peace and stability in Yemen, as the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council and the current chair of the Yemen Sanctions Committee. The President also expressed his desire to further enhance partnership with the Republic of Korea for Yemen’s reconstruction, as well as cooperation in the humanitarian program for the Yemeni people.
