외교부는 11월 24일 ‘분쟁하 성폭력 철폐 – 생존자 중심 접근’이라는 주제로 ‘제2차 여성과 함께하는 평화 국제회의’를 대면·비대면 혼합 형식으로 개최하였습니다.

◦ 강경화 외교부장관과 안젤리나 졸리 유엔난민기구 특사 등 국내외 다양한 연사가 참여한 가운데 진행된 이번 제2차 국제회의는 분쟁하 성폭력 문제에 대한 우리 정부의 리더십과 기여도를 제고하는 계기가 되었습니다.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the “2nd International Conference on Action with Women and Peace” under the theme “Ending Sexual Violence in Conflict: Ensuring a Survivor-centered Approach”in a hybrid format (part-in-person and part-in-virtual) on November 24.

◦ In the presence of diverse speakers from Korea and abroad, including Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and UNHCR Special Envoy Angelina Jolie, the conference served as an opportunity to enhance the ROK government’s leadership and contribution on the issue of sexual violence in conflict.
