The Center for International Affairs (Division of Understanding Korea Project) at the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) is pleased to announce the Understanding Korea Contest 2026, aimed at discovering high-quality teaching and learning materials that can be immediately utilized in classrooms worldwide.

We kindly encourage interested foreign nationals and overseas Koreans to participate in this contest.

B. Contest Theme
Korea Reaching Classrooms Worldwide: Accurately Understanding, Accurately Teaching

C. Submission Period
June 1 (Mon) – July 31 (Fri), 2026, by 18:00 (KST)

D. Eligibility
Open to Foreign Nationals and Overseas Koreans
(University-level and above; general public welcome)

E. Submission Categories
• Lesson Plan & Worksheet for Understanding Korea
• Visual Educational Content (charts, diagrams, infographic slides, etc.)
