 Workation(Digital Nomad) Visa Requirements

Details are as follows:

o Who can apply?

-Those who have been employed by a foreign company(or have owned a foreign company) for more than 1 year and are able to work remotely.

-Accompanying immediate family members

o Visa Type: F-1-D (Workation) Multiple entry Visa (Validity 1 year, Stay period 1 year)

o Required Documents: 

1. Visa Application(Form no.17), 1 piece of Passport size colored picture, Original Passport, Photocopy of Passport Bio-page (page 2)

2. Original Certificate of Employment [must include applicant's position, date hired, compensation, office address, HR landline number(cell-phone number is not allowed), HR e-mail address] and Photocopy of business permit of company(SEC, DTI etc.)

3. Copy of Payslip and Original Personal Bank Certificate [must include account name, account number, account type, current balance, account opening date, 6 months average balance (ADB)]

* Criteria of income: (based) gross national income (GNI) per person in the previous year of the Bank of Korea's notice on the date of application / 5,241million won per year as of 2025

4. Photocopy of ITR (Income Tax Return) or Form 2316

5. NBI Clearance

- Applicant's criminal record certificate from the country of origin/nationality  is required. If the applicant has stayed for more than (1) one year in another country in the last five years, criminal record certificate from the relevant country must be submitted as well.

- Subject to exemption from submission: Under 14 years of age

6. Medical insurance certificate

- Personal medical insurance with a guarantee of more than 100 million Won for hospital treatment and evacuation to their home country during their stay in Korea

7. Additional documents for visa application of family members : marriage certificate or birth certificate

8. Certificate of TB (tuberculosis) Screening

9. Visa fee : PHP 4,500 (fee may differ for some nationalities)

All applicants of long-term visa with the below nationalities are required to submit Certificate of TB (tuberculosis) Screening issued from hospitals designated by the embassy.

Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Belarus, Cambodia, China, Congo, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malaysia, Moldova, Mongolia, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor Leste, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.

** TB treatment history, Signs & Symptoms suggestive of TB, and Chest X-ray result are mandatory from Dec. 1, 2022 (Use attached format) 

  - Validity of the certificate is 3 months

  - Children below 5 years old are exempted

*Passport sized picture of the applicant should be attached on Certificate of TB (tuberculosis) Screening. The picture should bear the dry seal of the hospital or the signature of the doctor in-charge. The laboratory test result should be submitted together with the Certificate of TB (tuberculosis) Screening.

In case the result of examination is positive, the visa application is automatically denied.
