Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of India

On July 11(Fri.), Ambassador Lee Seong-ho met with Mr. Kuljeet Singh, Vice Chairman of NDMC(New Delhi Municipal Council) who briefed him on the work of NDMC, especially its active participation in a nationwide environmental initiative called "One Tree in the Name of Mother(Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam)".

The "One Tree in the Name of Mother" is an unique campaign launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji, on World Environment Day 2024, which encourages every citizen to plant at least one tree in honor of their mother, strengthening individual and community participation in climate action by connecting it with a deeply personal sentiment.  

Mr. Kuljeet Singh graciously presented the Embassy with a plant and a tree for plantation in the embassy premises to mark this noble environmental initiative.
