2023 Korean Government Scholarship Program(KGSP) for International Students Application Guideline

 


The National Institute for International Education(NIIED) under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea plans to offer scholarships to nationals of participating countries.

 

To this end, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong plans to recommend 3 qualified candidates to the NIIED which will finally choose 2 candidates. After confirmed by the NIIED, the successful candidate is expected to arrive in Korea in August 2023.

 

The Application Guideline is enclosed herewith, including qualifications, required documents, forms for submission and all other necessary information.

 

Further information about the 2023 Graduate GKS is available at the websites http://www.niied.go.kr or http://www.gks.go.kr

 

Applicants should submit all required documents / forms to the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong no later than Tuesday, 7 March 2023 and interviews will be held at the Korean Consulate in due course (20~24 March) with a limited number of applicants who have met the application deadline and passed through the document review. It is kindly noted that those who fail to meet one of the qualifications set forth in the Applications Guideline will be automatically disqualified.

* From 2023, applications from expected graduates will not be accepted. Applicants must have obtained the required degree by 28th February, 2023. 

** All required certificates must be Apostilled by Hong Kong High Court. 

    ( For Non-government issue documents, applicants have to verify the authenticity of the copy through Hong Kong District Offices' Declaration / Oaths Service, in order to get the apostille at Hong Kong High Court)

*** Documents submitted by email will NOT be accepted.
