Good afternoon. I am the new Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Let me start today’s briefing.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the Korea AeroSpace Administration, will host a Global New Space Forum in Seoul from December 4 to 5, where Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Jina will deliver opening remarks.

The Forum has been set up to support bids of Korea’s aerospace companies to build presence in the global market and to seek ways to expand their cooperation with relevant agencies abroad.

The event will bring together some 40 aerospace companies of Korea as well as relevant agencies of 16 space-developing countries including the United States.

The upcoming Forum is expected to serve as an opportunity to discuss the possibility of global cooperation in the aerospace industry and design a model for substantive cooperation between aerospace agencies overseas and relevant companies at home in one-on-one meetings between them.
