Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Taeho will deliver opening remarks virtually at the 5^th International Conference on Global Citizenship Education to be co-hosted by several organizations including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education today, November 3.

Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is one of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals for which the Republic of Korea has been playing an active role. At the upcoming Conference, Vice Minister Lee will stress the importance of GCED for solidarity and inclusion including tolerance and respect for diversity in order to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.
