Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Taeho will meet with Under–Secretary for International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Chile Rodrigo Yáñez at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on August 26.

The Vice Minister and the Under–Secretary will exchange views on cooperation between the two countries in responding to COVID-19 as well as key global economic affairs. The meeting is expected to serve as an opportunity to strengthen strategic communication with Chile, the Republic of Korea’s traditional ally with which the ROK signed its first FTA.
