Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha will attend the “7^th Green Round Table” on June 24 and deliver welcoming remarks, in which she will explain the implications of the Republic of Korea’s Green New Deal and the ROK government’s efforts to respond to climate change.

Details on the event are in the press release issued today.

On June 24, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Sei-young will deliver a keynote speech at “ROK-U.S. Strategic Forum 2020” to be co-hosted by the Korea Foundation and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in the form of a video conference. In the speech, Vice Minister Cho will explain the direction of policies regarding the ROK-U.S. alliance, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and diplomacy in the post-COVID-19 era.
