1.   The Government of the Republic of Korea is deeply concerned with the Israeli Government’s recent decision to expand its settlements in the West Bank, which would significantly undermine the efforts to establish permanent peace between Israel and Palestine based on a two-state solution.

2.    In addition, in relation to the continuing loss of life from the recent escalation of violence in the region, the Republic of Korea once again calls for refraining from taking any action that would exacerbate tensions.
