1. As part of cooperation in two-way cultural exchanges that seek to promote cultural solidarity and exchanges between the Republic of Korea and the New Northern region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will organize a special feature on 11 New Northern Policy countries in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with Korea in 2022, which will air on EBS from November 30 to December 8.

o The special feature is a project implementing “the exchanges in culture and education,” one of the eight initiatives of the New Northern Policy that is a core foreign policy of the Korean government, in a bid to serve as a good opportunity to better understand the New Northern region and expand cultural exchanges.

2. In particular, the special feature will introduce the UNESCO heritages of 11 New Northern Policy countries which deserve to be protected by humankind, showing a variety of cultural heritages with the originality of the New Northern region and the universal values of humankind.

3. The Foreign Ministry will continue efforts to provide the Korean people with an opportunity to enjoy the cultures of other countries and regions through two-way exchanges promoting mutual understanding of cultures.
