MOFA Spokesperson’s Statement on Presidential Election in the Republic of Nicaragua

1. The Korean government expresses its deep concern that the presidential election held in the Republic of Nicaragua on November 7, 2021, was not conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner.

2. The Korean government urges that democracy should be restored swiftly in Nicaragua through a peaceful and democratic process in which all the domestic political actors in Nicaragua take part.
