1. On the morning of October 8, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun met with Secretary for Bilateral Negotiations in Asia, the Pacific and Russia of the Federative Republic of Brazil Márcia Donner Abreu, who is on a visit to the Republic of Korea to attend the 12th Korea-Brazil High-level Policy Consultation.

2. Vice Minister Choi noted with appreciation that the Korea-Brazil High-level Policy Consultation served as a meaningful opportunity to discuss ways to enhance substantive bilateral cooperation. In particular, he called for the Brazilian government’s interest and support for the participation of Korean companies in government-led 5G network projects in Brazil.

3. Secretary Abreu, noting with satisfaction that the two countries engaged in extensive discussions on a wide range of bilateral issues during the consultation, expressed the hope that Korea and Brazil would indeed continue to promote substantive cooperation in a range of fields.
