1. Deputy Minister for Multilateral and Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ham Sang-wook met with Special Presidential Envoy for Arms Control of the United States Marshall Billingslea on September 28.

2. The two sides exchanged views on key issues regarding the global disarmament and non-proliferation regime, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and discussed ways for Republic of Korea-U.S. cooperation in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation.

° The two sides agreed to hold an ROK-U.S. High-level Consultation on Disarmament and Non-proliferation in Washington D.C. as soon as possible and to continue stepping up bilateral communication on key issues of disarmament and non-proliferation at each level.

3. Special Presidential Envoy Billingslea also paid a courtesy call on Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Choi Jong Kun and exchanged views on the ROK-U.S. relations.
