○ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce the 「Design the Next Trilateral Initiative」 competition, which seeks to identify creative policy ideas from undergraduate students who will shape the future of trilateral cooperation among the Republic of Korea, the United States. and Japan.

□ Theme

○ The Future of ROK-US-JPN Cooperation: Policy Proposals for New Cooperative Projects in 2027

□ Eligibility

○ (Qualifications) Korean, U.S., or Japanese undergraduate students studying in the Republic of Korea (including students on a leave of absence).

○ (Team Composition) Individuals or teams of up to 3 members.

□ Competition Process

○ (Preliminary Round) Online policy proposals submitted via email(korusjpn@mofa.or.kr)

○ (Final Round) In-person presentation (PPT required, 10 mins), followed by a Q&A session with the judging panel

□ Schedule

○ (Submission Deadline) Saturday, November 7, 2026, by midnight (KST).

  ※ Preliminary Screening results will be notified individually to the finalists

○ (Final Round & Award Ceremony) Scheduled to take place at MOFA in late November.

□ Awards

○ (Grand Award) Gift worth est. KRW 500,000 (1 entry)

○ (Excellence Award) Gift worth est. KRW 300,000 (1 entry)

○ (Merit Award) Gift worth est. KRW 200,000 (1 entry)
