1. Informarion Relevant to the Proposal

a. Work Title : Roof replacement and associated metal of the official residence of the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto

b. Site : 19 Parson Court, North York, ON, M6M 4Z9

c. Work Description : Remove old shingle roof and replacement of new shinlge roof of the official residence

d. Defect Security Liability Period : 3 Year

e. Work Period : Within 60 days from the date of the commencement

f. Base Amount : CAD 79,000

 

2. Submission and Opening of Proposals

a. Submission Period : 2025. 6. 2. ~ 2025. 6. 6.

b. Documents to Submit : a copy of Proposal, a copy of Business Registration Certificate

c. Submission Deadline : 2025. 6. 6. 17:00

d. How to Submit the Proposal and Other Documents : toronto@mofa.go.kr

e. Date and Time of Proposal Opening : 2025. 6. 9. 10:00

3. Qualifiction to participate in the Proposal Submission

a. Tenderers must meet the qualifications for participating in competitive tenders as stipulated in Article 12 of the Enforcement Decree of the Act on Contracts to which the State is a Party

b. Tenderers must be a legitimate company under Canada law

c. Tenderers currently undergoing certain legal issues such as liquidation, M&A, selling of company, legal composition, court receivership, etc cannot parivipate in this tender.

 

4. Site Presentation :

a. A site presentation will not be provided for this construction, but on-site visit will be made available instead for assessing the details of the renovation. Please be fully acquainted with the details of the construction before submitting a proposal, as the tenderer will be liable for any issues arising from the failure to do so.

 

5. Determination of the Other Party to the Contract

a. Tenderers who submit proposal quote that is lower than the base price and is at least 87.745% of the base price will be reviewed in the order of lowest priced proposal and the tenderer without any reason for disqualification will be determined as the other party to the contract.

b. The tenderer selected as the other party to the contract must enter into a contract within 7 days oof receivinf the award notification.

c. In the event that the decision to award he contract is canceled after the winning tenderer fulfill the contract due to inevitable reasons and submits a contract waiver for exclusion from the other party to the contract, the contracting offiver shall review the next-ranking tenderer for any qualification and award the contract.

d. In the event of 2 or more proposals with the same price, a lottery will take place to determine the tenderer to whom the contract will be awarded.

 

6. Tender invalidation and Precautions

a. All tenderers are obliged to be fully acquainted with the details of the tender and the tenderer shall be responsible for failure to do to.

b. The company selected as the winning tenderer must submit ‘Confidentiality Agreement’ and ‘Pledge to Implement Integrity Pact’ at the time of signing a contract.

c. In case of any difference of interpretation, the Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto’s interpretation shall prevail.
