Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto

The Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Toronto successfully hosted the '2025 Toronto Korean Speech & K-Pop Contest' on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at the University of Toronto's Innis Town Hall. The event saw a turnout of approximately 180 attendees, creating a lively atmosphere.

This year's contest attracted 90 participants from across Canada, with 50 advancing to the finals after preliminary rounds. Finalists competed in four categories: High School & Novice, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, showcasing their Korean language skills.

Following the Korean Speech Contest, the finals of the K-Pop Contest were also held, adding excitement to the event.

Attendees expressed that the event provided a valuable opportunity to enhance their motivation for learning Korean and to enjoy Korean culture.
