Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Belgium and the European Union and Permanent Mission to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization

On September 7, Ambassador RYU Jeonghyun attended a concert by the Belgian National Orchestra and pianist HaeSun Paik at the Namur Concert Hall, which was held in anticipation of their upcoming tour in Korea at the end of September. Under the baton of conductor Antony Hermus, she performed Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 'Emperor,' receiving a standing ovation from the audience.

Following the performance, Ambassador RYU met with pianist HaeSun Paik, conductor Antony Hermus, as well as the General Manager of the Belgian National Orchestra, Bob Permentier, and Artistic Director, Ronan Tighe. The Ambassador emphasized that the concert held great significance as a prelude to the 125th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and Belgium next year, and stated that he would seek to further strengthen cultural exchange and cooperation between the two nations.
