Announcement on the Official Launch of the Korea Visa Application Center and Visa Application Procedures

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh would like to inform the public of the official launch of the Korea Visa Application Center and the visa application procedures as follows.

1. Official Launch of the Korea Visa Application Center

ㅇ The Korea Visa Application Center, Dhaka, Bangladesh will officially commence operations on September 2, 

    2026 (Wednesday).

ㅇ Following the official launch of the Visa Application Center, visa application submission and passport collection for

    general visas will be handled exclusively through the Visa Application Center.

ㅇ The Embassy will continue to accept applications and handle passport collection only for diplomatic and official 

    visas that are required to be submitted directly to the Embassy.

ㅇ The location and operating hours of the Visa Application Center are as follows:

• ● Holidays: Same as the holidays of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh

2. Visa Application Procedures

Applicants for general visas are requested to follow the procedures below when applying through the Visa Application Center.

① Check the Visa Type

     Check the appropriate visa type and application requirements according to the purpose of your visit.

② Prepare Your Visa Application

     Complete the visa application form and prepare all required supporting documents.

③ Book an Appointment

     Select the Visa Application Center and make an appointment through the Visa Application Center website.

     * Each visa applicant must make an individual appointment. Multiple applicants, including family members or             members of a group, cannot submit their visa applications under a single appointment. Each applicant must make          a separate appointment and visit the Visa Application Center individually.

④ Check and Pay the Fees

     Check and pay the applicable visa fee and Visa Application Center service fee.

     * VFS Service Fee: BDT 2,150 per application

     * During the initial approximately two-week period following the opening of the Visa Application Center,                   the VFS service fee must be paid in cash at the Visa Application Center. Thereafter, the fee must be paid online in advance.

⑤ Visit the Visa Application Center and Submit Your Application

     Visit the Visa Application Center at your scheduled appointment time, pay the visa fee, and submit your visa application form and supporting documents.

     * Visa Fee: USD 40 / USD 60 / USD 70 / USD 90, depending on the visa type and period of stay, payable in the equivalent amount in local currency.

     * Visa fees are non-refundable in cases such as visa refusal, cancellation of the application, or issuance of a single-entry visa instead of a multiple-entry visa.

⑥ Track Your Visa Application

     Applicants may check the status of their visa application through the application tracking service available on the Visa Application Center website.

⑦ Collect Your Passport

     After the visa assessment has been completed, visit the Visa Application Center to collect your passport as instructed.

※ The Visa Application Center does not make decisions regarding the issuance of visas. The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Bangladesh.

3. Other Information

ㅇ Notarization and Police Clearance Certificate-related services will continue to be handled by the Embassy as before.

ㅇ During the initial period of operation of the Visa Application Center, demand for appointment slots may be high. Applicants are therefore advised to make their appointments in advance.

ㅇ Applicants are advised to check the Visa Application Center website for the latest information regarding appointment availability and other services.
