Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

On January 7, Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha will meet with representatives from the Korean community in Japan, including Mr. Yuh Keun-ie, president of the central head office the Korean residents union in Japan, and exchange views on ways to develop the Korean community in Japan, as well as efforts to improve the Republic of Korea-Japan relations.

In addition, Minister Kang will meet with Japan’s new Ambassador to the ROK Koji Tomita this afternoon.
