Good afternoon. Let me start today’s briefing.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Kang, Kyung-wha will attend the 4^th Foreign and Defense Ministers’ Meeting between the Republic of Korea (ROK) and the Commonwealth of Australia to take place in Sydney, Australia, on December 10.

The Meeting will be attended by Minister Kang and Minister of National Defense Jeong Kyeongdoo from the ROK, and Minister for Foreign Affairs Marise Payne and Minister for Defence Linda Reynolds from Australia; and cover diplomatic and security cooperation between the two countries, the situation on the Korean Peninsula, and ways to step up collaboration on regional and global stages.

On the occasion of the Meeting, Minister Kang will have a bilateral meeting with her Australian counterpart.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Lee Taeho will attend and deliver encouraging remarks at a meeting of the Coordination Committee of the Korea-Russia Dialogue on December 6.

In his encouraging remarks, Vice Minister Lee will commend the Korea-Russia Dialogue’s activities in 2019 and ask it to work actively to promote the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries in 2020, the year marking the 30^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the ROK and Russia.
